Poker Table Stage 3

We continue to assemble the rail.
I have chosen to add lighting under the Rail.
There is nothing you need, but it is something you need to decide before you mount and screw the boards together. I will describe both ways. I begin with the description without lights.
We will now use the two outer parts of Figure 4.

Option without lights:

We will now glue and assemble these parts.
Adds the thick portion at the bottom. Apply wood glue on the top side all around the wider boards (It will be enough to "drizzle" the glue at the area of the narrower portion where the rail should be). Now put the narrower rail part on the broader.
Be sure that it is straight and it does not stand out at any point ( it shouldbe exactly equal to the outside because we cut them out at the same time while they where put together ) It may help if you are two people who put the the upper rail part in place (I did it myself and there were no major problems). Fasten parts together with some force so that they do not move when you put the screws in place.
The screws should be about 16mm long (screws with dimensions of 2.5 X 16 mm should be enough). We will also countersink the screws so that noone tear on them when you sit and play.
Spread about 20 screws evenly around the entire rail. We start to countersinking the positions where the screws should be.
The rail should now look like Figure 6 with the narrow frame portion mounted on top of the thicker part.

Option with lights

We will now glue and assemble these parts. Put the thick part at the bottom. Here's the difference against the alternative without lights. In order for us to fit a light loop inside the rail, we need a part that we put between the two rail parts.
I used pices from the middle part that was left after we cut out the broader rim portion. Creating distances that should be between the lesser and the greater part. Saw a XX cm wide "strip" of the long side of the left over part from when we cut oput the rail. Do this from both sides because we want a "list" on both sides of the rail. From the short end of the residual part, we will remove an equally wide part for the "list" to the short sides.
Now the boards are to be assembled.
Those strips that we have cutout are now to be assemled
